It is true that, since its implementation as a medical procedure, IV EDTA chelation therapy has saved the lives and regained the health of people around the world. But few people have the time, money and ability to tolerate the invasiveness of IV therapy. In the past, I relied on IV chelation (a therapy where the EDTA is slowly introduced intravenously with a needle). I used this modality exclusively with my patients until I discovered the suppository method. Now, this is my mainstay therapy for thousands of them. Few people have the time, money and ability to tolerate the invasiveness of IV therapy. This chelation delivery method is preferred by both myself and my patients because it can be done in the convenience of their own home and works safely and gently overnight. This allows less metabolic competition for the EDTA because the body is at rest while the EDTA works. The suppositories introduce less EDTA than IV chelation, but they are administered frequently, providing better EDTA assimilation. (This can be compared to taking vitamins, where a person takes less but more often). Additionally, Detoxamin chelation suppositories are far safer than IV chelation because the EDTA in the Detoxamin travels through the body at a much slower rate, which alleviates an undue elimination burden on the liver and kidneys.
